Ski area Marienberg

The "Top Snow Card" gives you access to ten ski areas with a total of around 213 kilometres of piste (including ski routes) and around 78 lifts, including Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Mittenwald and Grainau on the German side as well as Lermoos, Ehrwald and Biberwier in Austria (see ski region).

In the Biberwier ski area on the Marienberg, winter sports enthusiasts will find mainly flat to moderately difficult pistes, which are ideal for beginners and families. Child-friendly lifts, Biberland with mascot Berny Biber and the Sunnalm children's restaurant ensure that even the little ones feel at home.

Night skiing Marienberg

Holiday guests in Biberwier have the opportunity to try out the popular night skiing in the evening. Right next door, in the Lermoos ski area, night skiing takes place every week. The small, family-friendly night skiing area is located right on the edge of the village and is served by the 8-seater Family Jet gondola lift. An approx. 500 metre long piste is floodlit here. The skiing fun is thus extended into the evening hours once a week. During the extended operating hours, the blue descent is floodlit until around 20:45. If you still have enough energy left in your legs at the end of the evening, you can take part in the torch-lit runs. Together with ski instructors, winter sports enthusiasts of all ages can ski down in the dark with a torch or glow stick in hand. There is also a night ski slope in the Tiroler Zugspitz Arena in the Berwangertal ski area.

Après ski Marienberg

Skiers and snowboarders can round off their day on the slopes with a nightcap in Otto's Pistentreff right at the valley station of the Marienbergbahn cable car. If you're looking for more après ski action, you'll find it in the surrounding villages. In Lermoos, for example, the Holzstadl, Saskia's umbrella bar, the Juxbar and the Lahme Ente umbrella bar are tempting. There are also several bars and huts in Ehrwald and Berwang.

Those who prefer a more sporty leisure programme can explore the surrounding area on the cleared winter hiking trails, on a guided snowshoe tour or a romantic torch-lit hike. Biberwier also has a 1.5-km-long toboggan run, which is open every Friday after 7 pm during the winter season. The longest natural toboggan run in the Tiroler Zugspitz Arena is located on Grubigstein in Lermoos: 2.4 km of rapid downhill fun. For ice skaters, a trip to the Tiroler Zugspitz Arena ice stadium in Ehrwald or the natural ice rink in the Lermoos Lusspark is well worthwhile.

Snowpark Marienberg: Ehrwalder Alm Snowpark

Unfortunately, there is no snowpark in this ski area.

In Ehrwald, about 4 km away, the professionally built Ehrwalder Alm snowpark is located in the centre of the ski area, along the Klämmli piste, and is groomed daily. The Klämmli lift, which is just as long as the park, provides one run after another. Various jumps (6 - 12 metres), rails, boxes and much more spread over 3 lines (small, medium and large) offer plenty of practice opportunities for beginners and pros alike.
