Ski area Arlberg

From Flirsch, you can easily reach St. Anton on the free ski bus and find yourself in Austria's largest interconnected ski area, the Arlberg ski area. The region consisting of St. Anton, Stuben, Zürs, Lech and Warth-Schröcken is connected by the modern Flexenbahn cable car between St. Anton and Zürs and by the Auenfeldjet between Lech and Warth. The Flexenbahn has 47 cabins for 10 people each and replaces 120 ski bus journeys a day. In addition, you can enjoy a magnificent view over the Klostertal valley through large panoramic windows. Holders of the "Arlberg" lift pass therefore have a total of 302 kilometres of pistes and 85 lifts at their disposal!

The Arlberg (1,304 - 2,811 m) is one of the most snow-sure regions in the entire Alpine region. In combination with state-of-the-art snow-making facilities, excellent piste conditions are guaranteed. However, the Arlberg is not only known for its well-prepared pistes, but also as a freeride Mecca: a total of around 200 kilometres of deep snow runs are available here for a perfect powder day. Families and beginners are attracted to the ski areas around Flirsch with numerous childcare facilities and many blue pistes. The mountain restaurants of the lifts in Arlberg also offer free Wi-Fi.

The "STANTON PARK" fun park in the Rendl ski area is an Eldorado for snowboarders. Real experts can take on the world champion-proven race tracks below the Kapall (2,330 m), while beginners can make gentle turns on the Gampen.

Après ski Flirsch

In the rather quiet and idyllic village of Flirsch, there are several ways to spend a day filled with variety. One example would be the lit toboggan run. Winter hiking trails are available in Flirsch as well as Pettnau.

Anyone who enjoys partying shouldn't miss the legendary après ski scene in St. Anton. Here there is lots to choose from, with numerous ski huts such as the "Krazy Kanguruh" or the "Heustadl" right by the valley run, inviting you in to catch the last rays of sun and toast to a successful day on the slopes. You also shouldn't miss out on a visit to the "Mooserwirt" - après ski with cult status!

Late at night the various bars, pubs and discos really start to rock. Favourite stops for dance and party fans is the "Kandahar", where international DJs and delicious cocktails ensure a great atmosphere.

Snowpark: STANTON SNOWPARK Flirsch

Embedded in the unique landscape of the Arlberg you will find the "STANTON PARK", located at the mountain station Rendl, ideally accessible via 2 ski lifts. It's great location, directly on the brim of the Rendle terrace, provides the chance for both spectators and riders to enjoy the action going on in the park. Thanks to events such as the Acrobag Progression Tour, who in 2015 will be stopping in Europe for the first time, the park has become one of the top location within the scene.

The "STANTON PARK" has a sensational selection for the riders - spread over 3 areas with varying levels of difficulty (beginner, advanced, and pro). The obstacles include various rails and boxes, kickers with 15 m tables, pipes, a wall ride and a big tube, and much more. Head shaper René Friedl and his team are endeavoured to make this park a unique experience for all riders and work hard to leave no wishes unfulfilled.

Next to the "STANTON PARK", a funslope with jumps, steep curves, a tunnel and snails can be found in the ski area. You should also check out the Spaßpiste on the Galzig.

If you want to detour to other ski areas from time to time, you don't have to miss out on freestyle fun. In Lech and also on the Sonnenkopf there are further parks to try out. The snow park "Lech am Arlberg" also provides 3 lines with mini kickers for kids and the best triple-kicker line in the entire Alps. On the Sonnenkopf beginners will find lots of space for practising: the beginner fun park offer 5 medium elements, as well as a kicker line (3 - 5 m).
