Ski area 4-Berge-Skischaukel

With the "Ski amadé" lift pass, you have access to an incredible 760 km of pistes and 270 lifts in Austria's largest ski area (see ski region)!

The 4-mountain ski area Hauser Kaibling, Planai, Hochwurzen and Reiteralm is one of the main attractions in the Dachstein West region. It offers the largest selection of pistes and lifts and each of the four mountains is an attractive ski area in its own right. A total of 123 kilometres of pistes and 50 lifts are available here.

With its mogul pistes, powder slopes and the piste from the Kaiblingalm area over to the Planai, the Hauser Kaibling is particularly popular with ski cracks. But families and less experienced skiers will also find the best conditions in the upper part of the Hauser Kaibling, at the middle station and the Kaiblingalm. From the 24/25 season, the brand new "Kaiblinggrat" 8-seater chairlift also awaits you. As the most powerful chairlift in Styria, this modern lift replaces the "Quattralpina" chairlift, which has been in operation since 1992, and takes you up to 1,868 metres in less than 5 minutes. Look forward to an even more comfortable and faster skiing experience!

In addition to wonderfully wide pistes, the Hochwurzen also has the longest piste in the ski area: the Hochwurzen-Schladming valley run covers a difference in altitude of 1,100 metres over a length of 7.7 km.

Experienced skiers will get their money's worth on the 5.5 km long FIS course on the Planai. Another FIS course can be found on Hauser Kaibling, which covers a difference in altitude of 1,100 metres over a length of 7 km. The 2 downhill runs are also definitely worth mentioning here.

Night skiing Haus im Ennstal

If you still haven't had enough in the evening, you can regularly take part in night skiing in Pichl, just 15 km away. In the Hochwurzen ski area, you will find piste 33, a floodlit valley run that is around 3 km long. It is also possible to stop off at the huts on the piste until late at night. However, if you want to ski at night, you will need to buy an evening ticket, as night skiing is not included in the lift pass. However, holders of a valid lift pass for Planai & Hochwurzen receive a 20 per cent discount on the evening ticket. If you prefer to start the night on runners, you should definitely pay a visit to the night toboggan run on the Rittisberg.

Après ski Haus im Ennstal

With a great view into the distance, you can enjoy cold and warm drinks at the umbrella bar of the Berggasthof Scharfetter after skiing. You can also relax in the "Platzhirsch" chill-out lounge. Furthermore, numerous inns are waiting to spoil you with international or also typical South Styrian specialities.

Away from the piste there are also numerous ways to end the day. How about a game of curling, for example? Or a round of ice skating? Everything is possible! You can also explore Haus im Ennstal and its surroundings on the beautiful hiking trails. In nearby Pruggern there is even an illuminated winter hiking trail.

Snowpark: Snowpark Superpark Planai Haus im Ennstal

Freestylers will find the Planai Superpark on the Planai. It has a beginner, a medium and a pro kicker line with tables more than 10 metres high. There is also a jib line. Numerous kickers and a corner jump as well as various jib elements such as rails, tubes, boxes and mushrooms provide plenty of variety in the park.

On Hochwurzen there is also a fun slope, the first in Styria. It is suitable for beginners and advanced skiers alike. There are more than 500 m of jumps, boxes, a tub and a snail, among other things.

Freeriders get their money's worth on the eastern slope of Hauser Kaibling, Gasselhöhe on Reiteralm and Mitterhaus on Planai!
