Ski holidays La Toussuire - Skiing in France's winter sports stronghold!
La Toussuire
People have been skiing in La Toussuire at an altitude of 1,750 m since 1937. The modern and now completely car-free ski resort was built in the 1960s and has been an integral part of the Les Sybelles mega ski area ever since. When building the apartment buildings, the architects made sure that they were close to the slopes so that holiday guests can strap on their skis right at the front door and set off on the first runs of the day. Thanks to its unique location on a high plateau, the village, which has just over 480 inhabitants outside the tourist season, offers guests plenty of hours of sunshine as well as a fantastic panoramic view of the mountain peaks of the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region.Les Sybelles
The sunny ski region Les Sybelles in the heart of the Savoyard Alps comprises six different resorts and various tiny villages. Located at the Col de la Croix Fer (2,067 m) a steadily growing winter sports centre is attracting more and more customers and is already one of the largest ski regions in France. Be it an idyllic mountain village or a modern ski resort - in Les Sybelles there is place for everyone. A diverse offer for families with child care service and entertaining programme are the features which brought parts of the region the "Familie Plus" Award. But also aside from the piste the region has many diverse offers: besides a large network of winter hiking trails and cross-country tracks, the mountains can also be explored with a dog sledge or on show shoes. Furthermore, there are various huts and restaurants which offer many tasty, typically Savoyard specialities to indulge in.Travel La Toussuire
