28 km Cross-country trails (in km):

Altogether the region surrounding Zugspitze offers 131 km of cross-country skiing tracks. Garmisch-Patenkirchen itself has 28 km, Grainau another 17.5 km. Amongst those there are some skating tracks. Beginners can find simple but beautiful trails on the outskirts of Garmisch-Partenkirchen. If you are a cross-country skiing novice, here you have the chance to take professional lessons.

If you are searching for the ultimate challenge, you should really try to master the 42 km trail that takes you past Kaltenbrunn and Barmsee to Krün! Night trails can be found in the Olympic Stadium (1.5 km) or, if you should prefer nature, in Grainau (Krepbachloipe, 1.2 km).
