Ski area Winklmoosalm-Steinplatte
The pistes are predominantly easy and moderately difficult. The gentle slopes on the Bavarian side in particular are ideal for beginners, while the north side of the Steinplatte with its varied ski slopes and challenging pistes is more recommended for experienced skiers. The longest descent in the ski area - and in the whole of Germany - has a length of 9 kilometres and a difference in altitude of 1,100 metres on a moderately difficult run. Endurance skiers can even extend the descent to 12 kilometres by taking a detour over the Steinplatte! Another delicacy is the floodlit piste in the centre at the village lift.
With the "3 Länder Freizeit-Arena" lift pass, you have access to further ski areas and a total of almost 171 kilometres of pistes (see ski region).
Après ski Reit im Winkl
Those who prefer to explore the marvellous surroundings on a hike will find numerous opportunities in Reit im Winkl. Germany's first premium winter hiking trail, for example, stretches over approx. 6 km and is located at an altitude of around 1,200 metres on the Hemmersuppenalm. Freshly rolled paths lead through the magical winter landscape. A second premium winter hiking trail also runs for around 6 km and offers unobstructed views of the Kaiser mountains with the "Wilder and Zahmer Kaiser" (2,344 m).
There's more speed on one of the longest natural toboggan runs in Germany at the Hemmersuppenalm (4 km) and a romantic ride on a horse-drawn sleigh. If you want to relax a little in the evening, the Schwimmstadl indoor swimming pool is the right place for you. In addition to the swimming pools, a pleasant sauna area awaits you here.
Snowpark: Snowpark Steinplatte Reit im Winkl
The Snowpark Steinplatte offers plenty of space for action over a length of almost 1500 metres with around 15 elements - and not just for the pros. The park is divided into 3 sections, providing plenty of variety and fun. From the chill area, you have a view of the entire park and can watch the daredevil tricks of others.
In the main section, there are 4 lines with various boxes, tubes, rails, hips, kickers and corners to choose from. The midsection is a little wilder: advanced riders can hone their skills on a flowing line. The end section consists of a medium/pro line that leads to the park lift and takes you back to the top.
