Ski area Plan de Corones
The ski area around Plan de Corones (2,275 m), ski mountain number 1 in South Tyrol, offers more than just a little fun on the pistes with the lift pass "Plan de Corones". Thanks to the numerous snow-making systems, the ski area is snow-sure from December to April, and 119 km of piste and 32 modern lifts between 935 m and 2,275 m will make sure you will never forget your ski holidays.
The "CroniExpress" with its 8-person gondola is especially suitable for beginners, children and families. Here you can look forward to a piste that 100 m broad and has a difference in altitude of 160 m. All in all, Plan de Corones is known as a very family-friendly ski area with many offers for children. At the top of Plan de Corones you can, for example, find the "Croniworld", in which parents can watch their children's process and enjoy the beautiful 360-degree-panorama in the meantime.
Experienced alpine skiers should try out the steep passages on the two valley runs "Sylvester" and "Herrnegg". There is no ski area other than Plan de Corones that presents itself in such a versatile manner! The area is also known as location for various winter sports events, such as e.g. the snowboard world cup.
During the previous season the Plan de Corones was upgraded: the popular Sonnenlift was replaced, completely renewed and many new features like heated seats and protective covers were added. The Miara cabins now have free Wi-Fi and the artificial snow-making facilities were improved. The 19/20 season also offers a new gondola as a replacement for the old Rara chairlift. The "Skitrans Bronta" is one of the shortest 12-person gondolas in the world and connects the valley station of the "Miara" gondola with the "Pedagá".
If you are looking for even more variety, you can book the lift pass extension "Dolomiti Superski" and choose between 1,200 km of piste and 450 lifts!
In the ski area Plan de Corones you have access to Wi-Fi hotspots at many lift pass offices. With the lift pass extension "Dolomiti Superski" you have access to further hotspots at lift stattions and in restaurants in the ski areas.

Rules of conduct on ski pistes in Italy
To ensure safety on the ski slopes in Italy, stricter safety regulations have been in force since 2022. In order to use the ski areas, everyone must have liability insurance that covers damage to third parties. It will also be possible to take out this insurance on site for individual days. Drunken skiing is prohibited and punishable by heavy fines, with a maximum of 0.5 mg of alcohol per litre of blood. To reduce the risk of injury, helmets are also compulsory for all minors when skiing, snowboarding or tobogganing.
Après ski Riscone
Après ski fans will have a hard time making a choice in Riscone. At the Plan de Corones lift valley station, three bars invite you in to linger: "Après-Ski Tenne", "Igloo Bar Gigger" and the lively hot spot "K1". But these aren't the only opportunities to party in Riscone. Further bars and pubs also invite you to party. If that's still not enough, you should definitely head to Brunico (approx. 2 km), where you will find lots of pubs and bars promising a great time.
Those wanting to spend a day away from the piste and snow have many attractive opportunities in Brunico. The "Cron4" pool complex promises relaxation and fun. Various pools, saunas and steam rooms, as well as massage jet showers await. Horse-drawn sleigh rides and winter hikes through the snowy landscape are also regularly on offer. Ice skaters will get their money's worth on the natural ice rink!
The "Korer Piste" offers variety for young and old, with its 1.5 km long toboggan run - an experience that you won't forget anytime soon! If you don't want to get off your skis in the evening, you can choose between 4 illuminated night ski slopes where you can ski until 22:00.

Snowpark: Snowpark Kronplatz Riscone
Plan de Corones, the largest and most modern ski area in South Tyrol, meets all demands of an ambitious winter sports fan when it comes to piste conditions or panoramic views. Which possibilities do free stylers have when they want to spend a great vacation? This is easily answered, because the ski area is ready for everybody with 2 snow parks!
The "Easy Park", located below the "Belvedere" mountain station, lives up to its name. At a length of 800 m and on an altitude of 2,230 m you can find 1 line with an easy level of difficulty that gives you a first insight into the world of free stylers. Kickers, boxes, rails, a truck tire and a 130 m half-pipe are on offer here.
Another fun adventure will wait for you at "Jib park" on the "Korer" slope nearby the valley station "Bruneck/Reischach". The 300 m line comprises various obstacles invites bold and daring beginners to face the challenge in order to soon belong to the pros! - Don't you want to be a part?
